Corey & Russ’ Bahamas wedding… They had been planning a big wedding at home until they decided to scrap it and elope- just the two of them. Because as Russ said, it’s always been just the two of them. And it was perfect.
I met up with them when I arrived in Nassau and we went with a “let’s see” attitude for their wedding day the next day because of the threat of rain. When the day came, rain was on and off all day. And when it rains in the tropics, it POURS. Luckily, there wasn’t a raindrop in sight while their ceremony was happening and those dark dramatic skies looked incredible against the bright turquoise caribbean waters. Corey & Russ were amazing and willing to climb out on rocks with me- which in hindsight we should have left for last since we all got pretty drenched by the waves. Another session at sunset that evening wrapped up the day. The next day we adventured to downtown Nassau for a more old colonial bahamian vibe with the brightly colored buildings… before heading back to the resort and hopping on a boat to an offshore island, ignoring all “don’t go past this point” signs and heading out to a killer spot for the last part of their portraits.
C&R- Thank you so much for the amazing opportunity to photograph you, witness your wedding and adventure in the Bahamas with you! It was an honor and a trip that I’ll remember for a very long time! Hoping next time I see you it’ll be out your way in Montana!
